Hello Friends!
We invite you to sit down, relax and just enjoy what we have to say. Our honeymoon starts after we open presents at my in-laws house in Fargo. We received many many awesome gifts! Mad gab, puzzle, blankets, and most importantly..MONEY! Money is actually not everything, it just helps out the poor newlyweds with bills, so we want to thank those of you who helped us out! We did not get going on the road until we packed up and bought our FIRST WII!! I have wanted a wii for such a long time, it finally took me 22 years to get one.
I have gone to our honeymoon spot ever since I could remember! Our honeymoon place is my great-grandmother’s lake cabin up by Brainerd MN. It is the perfect place to honestly be alone with no distractions but the lake, our river dam, and the little misquotes! We get to the cabin while it is still light out and settle in.
We crack open our wii and play mario kart for what seems like hours!; before we knew it, it was time for bed. Next day comes around, we honestly just wanted to be lazy so guess what we did; MARIO KART ha! To keep us from being completely bored out of our minds, I decided to bring along our puzzle we received as gifts. We love to put puzzles together! I am finding out that when Derek and I put our minds together to do something, it gets done quite fast. We do not have the puzzle completed yet but we have a couple pictures we took along the way to see our progress.
Wanting to get out of the house we went to CrossLake which is the little town right down the road from our cabin. We went to grab a couple groceries and went to the Chocolate Ox. Now the chocolate ox is the coolest candy store; it has almost any kind of candy you could think of! We made a small pit stop there and took off to the Library. The library in CrossLake is so cute and quiet and has a small waterfall running in the back which really makes you feel relaxed and calm! We boogied home and it was finally time to get to bed!
We have a couple of pretty big hills when we travel to our little cabin. Derek had a great idea to long-board most of the way back from us going into town. When he had completed his exciting ride he gave the board to me and said “try it”. Knowing I can be quite clumsy is something that I do not try to mess with. But with Derek holding on to my hand and my belt buckle, I felt pretty good and brave. I did not fall when he was just dragging me; lets say I felt lucky and cool that I went to pretty much the top of the hill and rode down it with out a scratch!!! It was very scary but I conquered the hill!!
Until we meet again friends, stay safe, keep God in sight and have fun! D&M
